On what walls can a wallprint be made?
Our wallprints can be applied to almost any surface: drywall, concrete, stucco, stone, wood, plastic, glass and even tiles. The wall must be dry and clean, without any leftovers of loose paint or wallpaper. Raw or highly structured walls are also possible in most cases. Please contact us for custom advice.
What is the quality of the wallprint?
We print with professional UV-resistant inks at high resolution and directly on the wall. The result is a sharp, lively print without visible seams or foil. The ink attaches directly to the surface and is resistant to normal wear, light and moisture. In normal use the print is beautiful for many years.
How big can a wallprint be?
We print up to 4 meters and in width there are no restrictions. Contact the dimensions of your wall and we will make a suitable quote.
How should the wall be prepared?
The wall must be dry and clean, without any leftovers of loose paint or wallpaper. Naturally we advise in this and we do not print until the wall is ready.
Can a wall print on an outside wall?
Yeah, that's possible. We use for outdoor applications UV and weather resistant inks resistant to rain, frost and direct solar radiation. The outdoor life depends on the weather conditions and the subsurface, but averaged 5 to 10 years. We can also make a quote for garage doors and other external surfaces.
Is the ink safe and environmentally friendly?
Yes. We only work with solvent-free, water-based UV inks that meet European environmental and safety standards. The inks do not contain dangerous volatile substances and are safe for use in living and working areas, in schools and children's rooms. After drying, the print is odorless and non-toxic.
How long does it take to make a wallprint?
The print time depends on the surface and the resolution. Including construction, preparation and cleaning we are usually half a day on site. Larger projects can take several days. We always plan a time that suits you.
Do I have to submit a design myself?
Of course you can, but you don't have to. You can provide your own design, photo or artwork.We then check for free if this is suitable for large format printing and give advice on any adjustments. If you don't have a design yet, we can help you with that. Our creative team is full of fun ideas!
How much does a wallprint cost?
For each project we make a quotation, where the price depends on the size of the print, the subsurface, the location and the necessary preparation. Indication: € 150 per square meter, VAT included. For creative professionals who want to deliver their own design and use our printer to get their work on the wall, we apply special rates. What is the difference between a wall print and a wall wrap?
In a wall wrap a printed foil is glued to the wall. That sounds simple, but in practice it is labour intensive: the film must be applied accurately, air bubbles must be removed and seams unavoidable in large areas. There are also costs for the foil material itself and the necessary tools.
Ink The Wall works differently. Our printer applies the image directly to the surface — No foil, no glue, no hassle. The result looks like painted: no visible seams, no shiny foil skin and no edges that can release over time. The printer works on almost every surface: walls, concrete, wood, glass and plastic — smooth and structured.
Because no material has to be produced in advance, the design is adaptable until just before the execution. And because there is no PVC or glue involved, it is also the more environmentally friendly choice.
